  37.                 program painting the screen continues to work with the full
  38.                 color palette.  Unchoping the screen puts everything back

  87.                 used to make 3-dimensional pictures of the mandelbrot
  88.                 set.  This is a batch mode type program so several images
  89.                 can be generated, one after the other, without any human

  92. DEM             A program to compute mandelbrots via the Distance Estimator
  93.                 Method, as described in the book "The Science of Fractal

  187. Lhwarp          A program which will read tracks directly from your floppy
  188.                 disk, compress them using adaptive huffman encoding, and

  288.                 to open up windows on other applications' custom screens.

  297. StarBlanker     A screen blanker that replaces your display with a randomly

  301. Vlt             VLT is both a VT100 emulator and a Tektronix (4014 plus
  302.                 subset of 4105) emulator, currently in use at SLAC
  303.                 (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center).  Although the VT100
  304.                 part was originally based on Dave Wecker et al.'s VT100,
  305.                 many enhancements were made.  Features include use of ARP,
  306.                 an ARexx port, XMODEM 1K/CRC and Kermit protocols, support
  307.                 for additional serial ports, external file transfer protocols
  308.                 (XPR), a "chat" mode, and scrollback/review/history buffer.
  309.                 It comes in two versions, one with Tektronix emulation, and
  310.                 one without.The Tektronix emulation allows saving IFF files,

  354.                 and news.  This is Matt's version 1.00 for the Amiga,

  363. CRobots         A game based on computer programming.  Unlike arcade type
  364.                 games which require human input controlling some object,
  365.                 all strategy in CRobots is condensed into a C language
  366.                 program that you design and write, to control a robot
  367.                 whose mission is to seek out, track, and destroy other
  368.                 robots, each running different programs.  All robots are
  369.                 equally equipped, and up to four may compete at once.
  370.                 Version 2.1w, binary only, source available from author.

  373. Echo            Echo is a replacement for the AmigaDOS or ARP echo command.
  374.                 This version provides easy color setting or positioning for
  375.                 all echo'ed strings.  Completely compatible with the AmigaDOS

  377.                 correctly.  Version 1.08c, includes source.

  380. Etime           Etime will display the elapsed time between events.  This is
  381.                 useful in scripts to display the elapsed time between the

  386. Fortune         Fortune will ramdomly display a 'fortune' selected from the
  387.                 fortunes file (supplied).  The 'fortunes' file is easily

  392. Incr            Incr will easily allow the user to keep a total count of
  393.                 any event run from a batch file.  Incr will take a number

  398. PKAZip          The PKWare ZIP tool for the Amiga.  Provides functions

  405. Udate           Udate is a replacement for the AmigaDOS date command,
  406.                 containing many options similiar to the UNIX date command.
  407.                 Udate will allow you to set the date and time via prompts
  408.                 or directly from the command line, will display any part
  409.                 of the date or time using the options in any color desired,
  410.                 and will also make an automatic adjustment of your system
  411.                 clock for Daylight Savings Time so your computer will be
  412.                 one less clock you will ever have to set twice a year for

  419. ChinaChallenge  A game similar to Shanghai or Mahjong.  The goal is to
  420.                 remove all parts of the pile, the so called Dragon, step

  423.                 same picture or chinese symbols.  Binary only.

  426. LHArc           An archive program like Arc and Zoo, with a heavy emphasis
  427.                 maximum compression for minimum archive size, using LZHUF
  428.                 compression. This is version 1.10, an update to version 1.0

  430.                 17% faster decompression, file sorting, more efficient use
  431.                 of memory, a new progress indicator display, and some bug

  434. Moonbase        You must guide a lunar lander to ferry cargo from an 
  435.                 orbiting space station to bases on the surface of the moon.
  436.                 You get cargo and fuel for the lander by docking with the
  437.                 space station.  The goal is to complete all the assigned
  438.                 cargo deliveries, and to destroy as few landers as possible

  441. TrackSalve      A trackdisk patch which removes all known bugs and patches
  442.                 the trackdisk task to allow various enhancements, such as

  848.                 rewritten in assembly language for maximum speed and
  849.                 efficiency. Unlike MemWatch MemGuard does not run as
  850.                 Task in a dummy loop but rather as a low-level interrupt
  851.                 routine which is capable of trapping memory thrashing even
  852.                 before exec might know of it and even while task switching
  853.                 is forbidden. In fact the low-memory area is checked each
  854.                 frame. Virtually no processing time is wasted, the
  855.                 interrupt routine does the check in about half a raster
